iconographic description:
egyptian fountain, rue de sèvres, 7th arrondissement. This fountain leans against the wall of the temporary hospital on rue de sèvres. The fountain has the appearance of an egyptian temple door, the bay of which serves as a niche for a statue holding in each hand an inclined vase, from which the water escapes into a basin leaning against the base of the pedestal. The overflow from this tank flows through a bronze mask with a lion's head. In the background, beyond the wall: two trees and the roof of a building; at the rear of the latter: the roof of a bell tower. In the foreground of the image: an old woman accompanied by a child and an elegant woman. Mode of acquisition: purchase
