Group portrait of queen victoria, the turkish sultan, the emperor of austria, the emperor of france and various senior diplomats; victoria centre, seated, wearing the diamond diadem, diamond necklace (possibly an attempt at the ‘turkish’ necklace), collar of the garter, and state robes; abdul medjid, turkish sultan to left in cloak and tunic with unidentified star around the neck, and feathered cap; to the queen's right, napoléon iii, in collar, military uniform and ermine, one hand on victoria's throne, the other on hilt of sword; francois joseph of austria to the left from abdul mejid, in uniform and both hands clasped on sword in front; four other diplomats: cte.
