demolition of the couvent des cordeliers, 1st arrondissement (around 1802). View of the nave being dismantled, the facade wall is still present. One of the aisles is shown with its high windows, above which we can see a wooden vault and the roof frame. The scene includes a few characters: on the left a man, his shoes drooping, is sitting on a block, and is holding his bowl in his hand. In front of him, a woman holds a child in her arms, and next to him on the left is a dog. In the background a cart on which a man is perched. A little further to the right is a man pushing a wheelbarrow. Mode of acquisition: purchase
