At front left a man in a devil mask cavorts with a woman wearing a domino mask and a cocked hat. Beside them a woman in a lowcut dress with bare limbs and domino mask blows a party horn while waving a stick with a bladder. Behind her is a man in full face mask and pointed clown hat; to center person wearing full head mask in form of alligator head. Elsewhere in the crowd masks are abundant as are bicorn, tricorn, and other unusual hats. Date: Mardi Gras Day 1893.
