Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 906, 24 February 1925

906. Cross - [tombstone] monument, in the church cemetery in the hamlet of karagunot in the town of yambol ("st. George" church"). With a vaulted niche for candles. Four-winged; carved in 1757 from coarse-grained marble. Dimensions: 130x48x12 cm. Sketch[ed] on 24. Ii. 1925. (vol. 12, obr. 51. ) note. In these cemeteries (already deserted) except tombstones crosses, there are also marble tombstones with dates - 1842, 1862, 1861, 1790, 1738, etc. Often, besides crosses, there are also symbolic figurines: shepherd's crook, indaze, cows, etc. Date: 24 February 1925.
