The hay-cart: countryfolks by a gate, with on the left men loading a cart with hay, a family of three resting nearby, at centre two grazing horses and a man adjusting the bridle of his horse, which his wife is mounting, and on the right a child dragging another sitting on a sleigh; beyond, at right, the partly ruined gate opening onto a courtyard, with woman walking up a staircase leading to a house; after wouwerman lithograph on chine collé.
