Vilhelmine von løvenskiold (1779-1829) was the daughter of inger marie deichmann and herman von løvenskiold. In 1796 she married frederik anthon adam von der maase (1773-1821), a danish cavalry officer. From 1801 he embarked on a career connected to the danish court, starting as adjutant to crown prince frederik. Jens juel portrayed them both, and the works were sold together at the auction.
