Social satire; three men, one dressed in an extravagant height of fashion, with cane and gold earring, holding out papers labelled "mandat territor" to another, with a large neckerchief, cane, long hair and a tasselled hat with a tricolour cockade, who has coins in his hand; a pickpocket with a phrygian cap and fierce expression steals a handkerchief from the pocket of the first man. 24 june 1797 hand-coloured etching with stipple.
