Helier passing the corbière rocks and lighthouse signed with monogram and dated 1873 (lower right) oil on canvas, monochrome 48. 5 x 87cm (19 1/8 x 34 1/4in). Footnotes the distinctive funnel arrangement on the steamer, having both of her two funnels abaft her paddle-boxes, identifies her as either p. S. Aquila or her sister p. S. Cygnus, both of which were built in 1854 and came into service on the jersey route in 1857. Object Type: painting. Date: 1873.
