Mustard gas- two sketches to illustrate the effects of mustard gas on horses image: a detailed study of the head, neck and upper body of a horse suffering the ill effects of being exposed to mustard gas. Large sections of the horse's face and chest have the orangey red appearance of burns, with the natural brown coat having been affected. Immediately below is a study of part of a horse's head, showing the horse to have a closed, infected left eye. Date: (First World War).
