Field post letters from hans koch, vienna, world war ii, eastern front, 1922-1945 previous letter (1938-07-05) letter date (1938-07-10) next letter (1938-08-08) envelope: front back text july 10, 1938. Dear mama! yesterday i received your lovely card, for which i thank you very much. I'm already looking forward to the box. Working in white shirts is no joke. Please excuse my long silence, but you know how it is. Today is sunday, everyone is writing again. I wrote to trude last sunday. Karl received a card at the same time as i did yesterday. It says something about four country servicemen and you have to go to albertgasse [a side street off florianigasse]. I don't know anything about it. So the four of them aren't trying to cheat you. Everything is now completely calm and in order with us. I'm sending you two pictures today, i hope you like them. The one with the horse is from whitsunday and the other one a week later. What are you all doing now? dad is always working hard, [???] and you always have enough to do too. Date: 10 July 1938.
