Satire on the siege of copenhagen. (british political cartoon); a satire on the capture of the danish fleet, 7 sept. 1807. George iii repeats his pose as the king of brobdingnag. Standing on a martello tower, he looks through a spyglass at admiral gambier who tows the danish fleet towards england. Napoleon and his allies, spain, germany, holland and russia, watch from the further shore. Talleyrand kneels behind napoleon.;krumbhaar 471. Bmc and krumbhaar repeat broadley's statement that on his impression george cruikshank noted that the coast was put in by him. On this copy a pencil note in lower right corner reads: work by g. Ck.
