Built between 1523 and 1533 using the inlays in the backrests, designed by lorenzo lotto and created by giovan francesco capoferri, which had originally been commissioned as "covers" to protect those with stories from the old testament, which in the meantime were being built and which then, from 1553, would be used to build the lay choir.
