Dimensions: h 336 mm × w 270 mm explanation the drawing is a preliminary study for a painted portrait in the staatsgalerie in stuttgart. The man is dressed differently there. The attribution of both works is not entirely certain. On the reverse there is an old inscription wrongly identifying the person as 'maximilianus fugger' and the artist as 'holbein'.
