Fall of phaeton by georg pencz (around 1500-1550), ceiling painting (5. 6 x 12. 2 m) in the hirsvogel hall in nuremberg depicting zeus as the father of the gods, holding a bundle of lightning bolts in his hand and using them to stop phaeton, the son of the sun god helios, from his disastrous journey so that he falls to the ground.
