map of amsterdam. The design of the decorations, possibly also the map image and the engraving by probably romeyn de hooghe. 3rd edition. Scale approx. 1:7,250. Published by gerard van keulen. With a commission from pieter persoy to jonas witsen, who was appointed city secretary at the age of seventeen. The dedication by persoy and the existence of a 2nd edition by theodor danckerts (see saa: 10035/1207) makes it likely that persoy was the first publisher of the map.
