Swedish stamp 5 Öre POST.054044, 1858

Stamp 5 öre 1858. Complementary denomination, never appeared alone on letters. There were no 5-öre stamps during the period of circulation of the coat of arms. The early swedish stamps were printed with mineral inks. They have, with a few important exceptions, aged gracefully – they can still look fresh. For the green five-ring, mixtures of chrome yellow and berlin blue and some cobalt blue were used. Edition: 1 4,151,500, 5 öre. The marks were produced without a watermark (only in the sheet margins). Invalid for franking from o. M. On december 30, 1910. The stamp in the picture is from the postmuseum's collections. Date: 1858.
