Lofty Riding, or Miss Folly's head exalted, 1781

Satire on fashion: a young woman with high-piled hair has her elaborate hat caught by the sign of the windmill inn hanging over the road as she and another young woman are driven past in a high phaeton; a country woman and child throw up their hands in surprise and a dog leaps up; on the balcony of the inn two men and a woman are drinking "punch in any quantitites". 1781 hand-coloured mezzotint.
